Anjar, Kutch, 16th December, 2025: trengthening India’s infrastructure and water management capabilities, Hon’ble Union Minister for Jal Shakti, Shri CR Patil, today inaugurated Welspun World’s Ductile Iron (D.I.) Pipe manufacturing unit. The new facility marks a significant milestone in Welspun World’s expanding presence in the infrastructure and water management sectors and reinforces its commitment to national development priorities.
The state-of-the-art D.I. Pipe manufacturing unit will play a crucial role in supporting key Government of India initiatives such as the Jal Shakti Abhiyan and Jal Jeevan Mission. The facility will supply high-quality ductile iron pipes for drinking water supply and sanitation projects across urban and rural India, contributing to improved water access and long-term sustainability.
Speaking on the occasion of this inauguration, Hon’ble Union Minister for Jal Shakti Shri CR Patil said, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji Ensuring water security is one of the top priorities of the Government of India. Through the Jal Shakti Abhiyan and the Jal Jeevan Mission, we are working tirelessly to ensure water security and provide safe and sufficient drinking water to every household. These initiatives are not only improving the quality of life today but are also laying a strong foundation for a water-secure future for generations to come. Active participation of industry and institutions is crucial to strengthen these efforts and turn the vision of sustainable water management into a reality.”
